
In line with recent decisions by the Syrian Arab Republic authorities, the following rules have been established for passengers entering Syria, whether arriving via ground border crossings, commercial airlines, or private jet charters:
Syrian Citizens
Syrian citizens can enter the country by presenting a document that proves their Syrian citizenship.
Lebanese Citizens
Lebanese citizens must meet at least one of the following conditions to enter Syria:
Have a parent (mother or father) who is a Syrian citizen.
Hold a valid residence permit in another country.
Possess a visa issued by any Syrian consulate.
Hold a valid residence permit in Syria.
Iranian Citizens
Iranian citizens may enter Syria only with prior authorization.
Citizens of All Other Countries
Citizens of all countries, except Israel, are permitted to enter Syria.
Members of the Press
Special permission is required from the Syrian Ministry of Information for members of the press to enter the country.
Religious Groups
Religious groups must obtain special permission from the Syrian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
